Kid Cudi has been forced to cancel his upcoming tour after breaking his foot at Coachella. “I have a broken calcaneus,” he wrote on social media yesterday. “I’m headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all.” Ticketholders will be refunded and new tour dates will be announced.
Cudi expressed his disappointment and promised to return. “I’m so sorry fam and I love you so much, thanks for the endless love and support,” he said. Despite some “soreness,” he remains in good spirits. He previously joked about the injury after it happened, but now admits: “The injury is much more serious than I thought.” The tour was set to feature opener Pusha T and was scheduled to begin in July.
