Linda Perry Shares Her Breast Cancer Battle In Revealing New Documentary

In a new interview with People, Linda Perry opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis and decision to get a double mastectomy. The former 4 Non Blondes singer revealed that she received the breast cancer diagnosis while filming the forthcoming documentary, Linda Perry: Let It Die Here. After discussing it with the film’s director, Don Hardy, Perry decided to let the camera capture how she dealt with her cancer news. “The hammer was on me, and this happened in real time,” Perry recalls. “I remember calling Don and going, ‘You’re not going to believe this.’ And he’s like, ‘Well, do you want to talk about it?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, we’re in it. Let’s just do it.’”

Perry is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, working with Christina Aguilara on her hit, “Beautiful,” P!nk’s anthem, “Get the Party Started,” as well as Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keys. Linda Perry: Let It Die Here premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 6, and should hit streaming services soon. (People
